FAIRFAX, VA – June 1, 2025 — The parking lot outside Macy’s Furniture at Fair Oaks Mall was transformed into a vibrant celebration of Filipino-American heritage on Saturday, May 31, as Fil-Am Spring Fest 2025 brought together families, food lovers, performers, and community organizations for a day filled with culture, connection, and charitable giving.
Hosted by Fil-Am FEST Inc., a Virginia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the festival featured over 80 vendors and food trucks offering a mix of Filipino, Asian, and international cuisines. Attendees were treated to the sights, sounds, and flavors of the Philippines, while also learning about important causes and ways to give back.

Throughout the day, guests enjoyed live performances, including traditional Filipino dances, contemporary music, and cultural showcases by local artists. A highlight for many was the Pop-Up-Shop for a Cause, where festivalgoers supported hunger relief and outreach programs by shopping from small businesses and community vendors.
The event also included nonprofit booths, family-friendly activities, and volunteer opportunities, emphasizing the festival’s broader mission to serve and uplift. Proceeds from the event will benefit Fil-Am FEST Inc.’s initiatives, including support for ultra-poor families through partnerships with organizations like International Care Ministries (ICM).

“We believe this event is not just a celebration of Filipino-American culture—it’s a way to serve the community, uplift others, and reflect God’s love through unity and generosity,” said Joyce Puno, Chairperson of Fil-Am FEST Inc.
The free, public event drew a diverse crowd from across Northern Virginia and the greater D.C. area, many of whom came not only for the food and festivities, but also for the chance to support meaningful causes.
